Lauren Doshier

Pre-Licensed Therapist

Lauren (she/her), MA, LPCC, received her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Naropa University in 2023. She is currently in training to become a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) and a Certified Hakomi Therapist (CHT).

It’s human nature to feel stuck or lost sometimes. Do you wish you had the awareness or emotional skills to work through it? With Lauren’s heartfelt, mindful, and direct approach, she supports you in uncovering and recovering from the thoughts, behaviors, emotions, and traumas that prohibit you from living your fullest life. Through a safe and supportive environment, Lauren will support your dynamic, unique needs while providing practical (and spiritual if desired) opportunities for transformable insight and growth. The therapeutic relationship relies on the mutuality and collaboration between you and your therapist; Lauren lights up when you feel empowered in the relationship. Your engagement and consent within this relationship are vital to your success.

Lauren uses a diverse blend of therapeutic modalities, including Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative Therapy. By practicing these somatic (body-based), transpersonal (connection-based), and cognitive (mental-based) methods, you’ll be able to cultivate your innate awareness, self-compassion, resiliency, and power. Lauren’s therapeutic specialties are held within a multicultural, existential, and social justice framework. Her specialties include substance addiction and recovery, anxiety, depression, developmental trauma, plant medicine/psychedelic integration, and supporting those who identify as marginalized, LGBTQIAS2+ and/or Neurodivergent.

Lauren finds joy in her morning routine, which includes savoring a cup of tea, practicing yoga and meditation, and meaningful playtime with her two cats. She loves mid-afternoon walks with her partner, and trips to the Moutains to ski, hike, or soak in the hot springs. Currently, her favorite takeout foods are Nepalese and Pizza!
