Rachael Martin

Pre-Licensed Therapist

Rachael Martin (she/her), LPCC, is a body psychotherapist with a Master's in Somatic Psychotherapy from Naropa University. She has a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology and experience as a personal trainer, group exercise instructor, wellness program developer, facilitator and coach while managing a gym at Wilmington University.

Rachael believes in the innate wisdom of the body as resource, guide and inspiration for healing and transformation. She works through the lenses of neuroscience, attachment, and human growth and development to engage and navigate varying nervous system states in connection to self, others and the world. She holds the intention for developing a present moment orientation, gentle self-compassion and unconditional positive regard to cultivate an embodied, empowered and vital fullness of being. She tends to the complexities of intersectional identities as they show up in relationship to self, others, culture and the institutions of society. Rachael loves to witness the profound impact we have on one another, especially when we feel free to express, be and create from an empowered place of choice and alignment to ourselves and our passion.

Rachael specializes in an embodied identification and expression of emotional themes of anger, depression and anxiety especially as they relate to boundaries, healthy individuation, communication and expression in relationship to self and others. She enjoys working with teens and young adults to explore and identify personal integrity and value systems, as well as developmental impact and roles within family dynamics and intimate relationships.

Rachael’s ideal clients include individuals and families actively interested and willing to engage in self-development, cultivating a deep, embodied, fulfilling and reciprocal relationship to self, others and their community.

Rachael can be found reading or writing at cafes, meandering without destination among the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, and dancing, singing, and eating while galivanting around Boulder with friends.
