Casey Dunne

Apprentice Therapist

Casey (she/her) is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling concentrating in Somatic Body Psychotherapy at Naropa University. Casey holds her BA in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Casey believes that you, the client, already have everything you need to heal within you. She holds a client-centered, social justice and multicultural approach and strives to fully understand each individual client’s uniqueness. As a somatic therapist, Casey believes that it is through working with the body and the mind together that the deepest levels of growth and healing can be found. Seeing people embrace their whole selves, body, mind, and spirit and live authentically in the present moment brings light to Casey’s path. She delights in empowering people to live their truth and find meaning in the fullness of everyday experiences.

Casey specializes in somatics, chronic pain/illness, complex trauma, PTSD, and spiritual integration including integrating tarot and astrology into the therapeutic process, as well as sexual reclamation. She works with adults, LGBTQ+ populations, and couples. People who want to live life fully with access to their embodied selves, and are willing to explore their shadows as well as their light, may benefit from working with Casey.

As a certified Practical Reiki Master and Registered End of Life Doula, Casey also enjoys incorporating a transpersonal lens to her work when appropriate. She has previous experience working in the field of behavioral analysis and in her free time, she volunteers with the National Alliance on Mental Illness as a Connections Group Facilitator.

When she isn’t working, Casey writes fantasy novels and creates paintings as part of her own continued exploration of the self, the world, and psyche. She also enjoys spending time in nature with her dog, Athena, and exploring the best brunch spots with friends.
