Amber Miura

Licensed Therapist and Outreach Manager

Amber Miura (she/her), MA, LPC, NCC has her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary. Her undergraduate studies were in Psychology from University of Colorado and Psychopathology: Interventions and Treatment from Metropolitan State University of Denver. 

Amber specializes in working with individual adults. In particular, she has a passion for working with women through their journey in motherhood, step-motherhood, blended families, divorce, pregnancy, postpartum, and infertility. Additionally, she specializes in working with clients who struggle with suicidal ideation, self-harm, grief and loss, chronic illness, trauma, recovery from substance use *alcohol in particular, and life transitions. 

Amber believes that counseling is a sacred space shared between the therapist and client and strives to create a comfortable, non-judgmental, and empathetic environment for clients to be their most authentic selves so they can begin to grow, change, and heal. Kindness, care, and compassion are at the forefront of the work Amber does with her clients. She believes that people are the best experts on their own lives and experiences and comes alongside them in processing through their experiences. Additionally, she believes in the holistic well-being of each client, addressing the mental, physical, and spiritual aspects of their lives so that they can work towards living a healthy and whole life. 

When she is not working with her clients she is spending time with her husband and four children. She is a mother to two beautiful daughters and a stepmother (or, as she always says, “bonus mama”) to her two oldest children. Originally from Colorado, Amber loves to spend her free time going on adventures with her family such as enjoying nature, hiking, camping, and exploring the beautiful mountains. She also enjoys creating art such as sketching and painting, reading a good book, or discovering a new restaurant.
