BIPOC Back-To-School Teen Group Overview

This fall, Khesed is offering a free 5-week group to support Black, Indigenous, People of Color-identifying teenagers (ages 13-18) in transitioning back-to-school and work settings.

Throughout the time together, participants will have opportunities to connect with peers and build skills for self-compassion, stress management, and communication/advocacy.

This group will be led by a Therapist of Color.


Schedule

This group will take place virtually on Mondays from 7:00pm to 8:30pm, starting October 4 through November 1.

Upon registration, a Khesed therapist will contact you to review our policies and procedures, conduct a brief intake interview, and answer any questions you may have.

This group is free to participants.

Meet Paige

Paige Harris (she/her/they), Apprentice, is pursuing her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is an EDSE certified sex educator. Paige finds purpose in co-creating authentic, safe, and equitable spaces that cultivate kindness, curiosity, and spaciousness. She is passionate about holistic wellness, honoring and integrating the unique wisdom of each client’s identities and experiences in their pursuit of healing and wholeness. Paige has worked with diverse clients in exploring embodiment, mindfulness, spirituality, nervous system health, sexual wellness, relationship challenges, stress, grief and loss, anxiety/depression, and racial-cultural identities. Formerly a public school teacher, Paige is an avid learner and researcher, offering her clients opportunities for psychoeducation and skill development with attention to systemic and existential factors. Born and raised in California, Paige is enchanted by the Rocky Mountains and still getting acclimated to the snow. Paige enjoys writing music and singing in her band, climbing rocks, and mountain biking. While she prefers the outdoors, Paige also reenergizes by staying cozy at home, working on projects, and perfecting her small-batch coffee roast.
