Apprentice Art Therapist

Bari (she/her) has a Master’s in Elementary Education and is currently a second-year graduate student in the Transpersonal Contemplative Art Based Counseling Program at Naropa.

Bari employs art therapy and creative interventions like yoga and mindfulness to craft an individualized experience for clients. Bari enjoys working with clients experiencing life-balance burnout, adolescent trauma (bullying, religious isolation, peer-centered ridicule), emotional neglect, abuse and isolation, disordered eating patterns and clients navigating substance use recovery.

Bari is an experienced elementary art teacher, yoga instructor and mindfulness facilitator for all ages, she brings a warmth to the room where people feel comfortable and seen. In addition to her extensive group and classroom facilitations, Bari has provided services for adolescents in residential treatment centers and family systems working towards reunification.

In her free time you can find Bari wandering about in nature with her Golden Labrador, Stanley. Bari enjoys creating two dimensional art and playing sound bowls.
