Jae Agati
Apprentice Therapist
Jae (he/they) specializes in Body-Centered Psychotherapy and is completing a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Naropa University. In addition, he has completed 500+ hours of yoga teacher, somatic facilitator, and bodywork trainings. Through relational mindfulness, embodiment practices, and creative dialogue, Jae collaborates with clients to cultivate their innate potential for recovery, growth, and fulfillment.
Jae's trauma-informed approach honors the whole person and their nervous system, including the various relational, cultural, and systemic environmental factors of their unique lived experience. He feels fulfillment in being of service to others, and he views the alchemical process of therapy as a collaborative art that supports personal, collective, and generational healing and thriving.
James specializes in 1:1 Somatic Counseling across a variety of contexts, such as: Strengths-Based Neurotype-Affirming Support for Highly-Sensitive People ("ADHD", "BPD", autism, etc.), Lifestyle & Career Burnout (Especially for Self-Employed, Contract, Artists, and Service-Based Professionals), Gender & Sexuality-Affirming Care (Especially for AMAB and Male-Identifying Folks), Culturally-Attuned Care for Navigating Oppressive Systems, and Psychedelic Integration.
In their personal life, Jae enjoys yoga practice, improvisational dance, acrobatics, and rhythm-making. They've recently begun learning music theory through playing the guitar. With a love for international vagabonding, Jae is learning how to engage in reciprocal cultural and language exchange, and he is currently researching his ancestral roots in the Apulian region of Southern Italy and island of Sicily.
