Love and belonging are fundamental human needs. And yet, we refrain (or worse—are kept away) from true connection with most of the people around us—people different from ourselves.
We dig in our heels to protect our lonely patches of turf. We have all known—in different ways—the pain of being alone, misunderstood, forgotten, oppressed. Every one of us gets angry. We hurt each other, and we hurt ourselves. None of us deserves to remain severed from the fold of humanity. None of us deserves to be forgotten or left behind. Disconnection is the chronic disease and lovingkindness is the balm for our wounds.
Join us for an unprecedented evening of candid dialogue about what connects us with Colorado State Rep. Leslie Herod, Amanda Henderson - CEO of Interfaith Alliance, and Khesed Wellness Founder Heather Nelson with music by Grammie Nominee Jennifer Knapp. Each ticket covers the cost of a counseling session at Khesed.
We are all different, unique, sometimes even solitary—but let us be the best versions of ourselves, together.
